Interval multidimensional scaling for group decision using rough set concept
نویسندگان
چکیده
Multidimensional scaling (MDS) is a statistical tool for constructing a low-dimension configuration to represent the relationships among objects. In order to extend the conventional MDS analysis to consider the situation of uncertainty under group decision making, in this paper the interval-valued data is considered to represent the dissimilarity matrix in MDS and the rough sets concept is used for dealing with the problems of group decision making and uncertainty simultaneously. In addition, two numerical examples are used to demonstrate the proposed method in both the situation of individual differences scaling and the conventional MDS analysis with the interval-valued data, respectively. On the basis of the results, we can conclude that the proposed method is more suitable for the real-world problems. q 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Multigranulation single valued neutrosophic covering-based rough sets and their applications to multi-criteria group decision making
In this paper, three types of (philosophical, optimistic and pessimistic) multigranulation single valued neutrosophic (SVN) covering-based rough set models are presented, and these three models are applied to the problem of multi-criteria group decision making (MCGDM).Firstly, a type of SVN covering-based rough set model is proposed.Based on this rough set model, three types of mult...
متن کاملArithmetic Aggregation Operators for Interval-valued Intuitionistic Linguistic Variables and Application to Multi-attribute Group Decision Making
The intuitionistic linguistic set (ILS) is an extension of linguisitc variable. To overcome the drawback of using single real number to represent membership degree and non-membership degree for ILS, the concept of interval-valued intuitionistic linguistic set (IVILS) is introduced through representing the membership degree and non-membership degree with intervals for ILS in this paper. The oper...
متن کاملModal-style operators in qualitative data analysis
We explore the modal possibility operator and its dual necessity operator in qualitative data analysis , and show that it (quite literally) complements the derivation operator of formal concept analysis; we also propose a new generalisation of the rough set approximation operators. As an example for the applicability of the concepts we investigate the Morse data set which has been frequently st...

Im this paper, the performance of suppliers is evaluated based on their efficiencies. Evaluation environment is not always precise and we may face imprecise for evaluation indexes values. In this situation, traditional and certain models cannot be employed. For overcoming uncertainty problem, there are different models such as stochastic, statistical, Rough, Fuzzy, etc for solving uncertainty e...
متن کاملOn the connection of hypergraph theory with formal concept analysis and rough set theory
We present a unique framework for connecting different topics: hypergraphs from one side and Formal Concept Analysis and Rough Set Theory from the other. This is done through the formal equivalence among Boolean information tables, formal contexts and hypergraphs. Links with generic (i.e., not Boolean) information tables are established, through so-called nominal scaling. The particular case of...
